Travel Stories

A rather spontaneous trip one might say, we both knew that my sister was about to come to Sydney at the end of September. Nonetheless we waited to plan our trip until a few days before hand, if even a few days. Because it is just liberating not having any plans. Two days prior to departure, thanks to Park My Van we found “Awesome Campervans,” and booked an awesome campervan. There is nothing else you need for a good vibe throughout the entire trip. In between the beautiful landscape of Australia we had the freedom to stop wherever and whenever we felt like exploring our surroundings. We slept next to beautifully hidden beaches. In between surfing and sunrise walks, there are so many places that you can only find/see/discover/explore when you are travelling in a campervan. The fully equipped Van allowed us to cook delicious dishes next to our comfortable bed. We had everything we needed and nothing more we could have asked for.

On a lovely Sunday morning, after a good breakfast and hot coffee we started our trip. Ready to hit the road before the road hit us. A magical drive up north with a first stop at Shelly beach just outside of Sydney, a friendly community with Aussie vibes. “Craving for coffee” invited us to taste its soft and yummy carrot cake with a little spark of whipped cream on the top.

After this we decided to drive further north to check if we were able to find a spot to surf. We found Red Head beach for a little Yoga session in the sand before calling it a day.
