Travel Stories

So this afternoon I've left Tamworth and am headed back to the coast. The drive from Tamworth to Coffs Harbour is beautiful! Snaking along the New England Highway through a few national parks is definitely worth the trip compared to staying on the concrete pacific highway. I stopped along the route at Ebor Falls, a really beautiful cascade waterfall.

Along the way I also picked up two blokes who had broken down beside the road. It was dark and I've never picked up anyone off the side of the road before. That said, I felt it was the good thing to do (and the Australian thing to do!). They were plenty grateful and we had a good yarn on the way to Coffs. If I should ever break down on this trip I hope that someone would do the same for me.

Ebor Falls

That night for the first time I slept in the car (still waiting on getting the glorious pink van back - engine's can take a while to replace haha). I parked next to the beach and endeavoured to sleep. I'll be honest, it wasn't super comfortable but it was pretty awesome waking up to a sunrise on Coffs Harbour beach right in front of me.

I spent that morning exploring the pathways along the coast and got to enjoy many a beautiful view.

Then it was off the Big Banana for an obligatory photo and back onto the road!
